Bracknell Choral Society has been picked as one of three charities supported by Tesco in their Bracknell and Ascot stores, as part of their Stronger Starts community fundraising project. When you shop in Tesco locally, please remember to take a few blue chips (available at or near the check-out) and drop them in the slot for Bracknell Choral Society. The funds raised will help BCS pay for the concerts it puts on for local audiences. Concert venues, professional musicians and soloists are a major expense for us, usually only partially covered by ticket income. Additional funding such as this also helps keep BCS member subscriptions affordable, which is another one of our aims. Leaving a Legacy
If you would like to leave a legacy for Bracknell Choral Society in your Will, your support will be much appreciated by many people - singers, musicians and audience members - by helping to fund our concerts and other choral activities into the future.
This can be simply done by adding a codicil to your existing will.
A few simple rules for codicils
- Do not cross out or write new instructions into your current Will as any changes will not be valid.
- As with Wills, two people need to witness you signing and dating the codicil. They do not need to be the same people who witnessed your original Will.
- Keep the codicil along with your current Will in a safe place.
- Send, or give, a copy of the Will and codicil (in a sealed envelope, if you prefer) to your Executor or other trusted friend, with a note indicating where the original is held.
Please note that legacies left to charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax.
