New President for the Society

Bracknell Choral Society has appointed a new President: its former Musical Director Barnaby Smith.

He attended the BCS concert on Sunday 27th November, the Society’s first under the baton of its new Musical Director Greg Hallam. The newly appointed President was much in demand – as a taxi-driver for the orchestra (his Senesino Players) and then as a provider of refreshments during the afternoon rehearsal!

However it was after the concert that Barney provided the following comments on Bracknell’s first concert without his guidance:

'What could be nicer on a Sunday evening than the glorious sounds of Vivaldi with Bracknell Choral?!'

'It was a truly fabulous evening'

'Entertaining, enjoyable and relaxing'

'Superb music making from the highest quality musicians'

'Well done BCS. Truly marvellous as ever.'

'Nothing can touch the soul deeper than the human voice as Bracknell choral proved once again'

'Greg Hallam rallied his troops to a great victory for music'

'It is such a delight to watch the members of the Bracknell Choral engage with such wonderful professional soloists and orchestra'

'A triumph for classical music'

'BCS strikes again'

'The Vivaldi was vivacious, virtuosic and vibrant.'

'Purcell poured out his soul with this music and Bracknell Choral used this to take the audience to another world.'
